THE EXPRESS

Finding Forrester star Rob Brown steps into the cleats of Heisman Trophy-winning gridiron giant Ernie Davis in director Gary Fleder's inspirational sports docudrama. As a young boy reared not far from the northern Pennsylvania state line, Davis dreamed of blasting through the end zone and scoring a triumphant touchdown while fans rose to their feet and cheered. When Davis later became a star running back for the Syracuse Orangemen, his dreams were finally on the way to becoming a reality. Under the wing of coach Ben Schwartzwalder (Dennis Quaid), it seemed as if there is nothing that could stop Davis from entering into the annals of sports history; even during an era in which the civil rights movement was just gaining momentum, this fledgling gridiron giant never once doubted his ability to rise to the top. When Davis was diagnosed with leukemia shortly after being drafted into the NFL, however, his will to survive soon eclipsed his dreams of success. ~ Jason Buchanan, All Movie Guide Genres: Drama, Adaptation, Biopic and Sports Running Time: 2 hr. 10 min. FIREPROOF

At work, inside burning buildings, Capt. Caleb Holt lives by the old firefighter's adage: Never leave your partner behind. At home, in the cooling embers of his marriage, he lives by his own rules. After seven years of marriage, Caleb and Catherine Holt have drifted so far apart that Catherine wishes she had never married. Neither one understands the pressures the other faces--he as firefighter and she as the public relations director of a hospital. Regular arguments over jobs, finances, housework, and outside interests have readied them both to move on to something with more sparks. As the couple prepares to enter divorce proceedings, CalebĂ‚¿s father challenges his son to commit to a 40-day experiment he calls '[The Love Dare.' Wondering if it's even worth the effort, Caleb agrees, but more for his father's sake more than for his marriage. When Caleb discovers the book's daily challenges are tied into his parents' newfound faith, his already limited interest is further dampened. While trying to stay true to his promise, Caleb becomes frustrated time and again. He finally asks his father, 'How am I supposed to show love to somebody who constantly rejects me?' When his father explains that this is the love God shows to us, Caleb makes a life-changing commitment to love God. And--with God's help--he begins to understand what it means to truly love his wife. But is it too late to fireproof his marriage? His job is to rescue others. Now Caleb Holt is ready to face his toughest job ever--rescuing his wife's heart.

SAW 5

Lionsgate has announced that the release date for Saw 5 will be October 24. No real surprise there but it does beg the question of why not October 31? Maybe some big competition has already taken the spot. Pure speculation at this point but we do know that David Hackl is jumping on board to direct with a script written by the returning Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan. Now from the RottenTomatoes Forums ( shout out to Jen who writes for them and is a cool chick ) comes the supposed synopsis for the upcoming SAW 5 movie. FYI they source IMDB Pro so who knows if this is fact or fiction but the concept is plausible.

John Kramer has been confirmed dead, and Hoffman, who admires Jigsaw's work is hunted and captured by the sadistic apprentice, currently unknown. Agent Perez, who is in critical condition, is suddenly missing, and awakes to find herself at the beginning of the apprentice's new work.

Perez is told she has limited time to live without medication to find Hoffman, the man who caused her to be hospitalized. Fulfilling her task, Perez confronts dreadful fears in which she couldn't even imagine, that of which include meeting her missing partner, Strahm, who has suffered from Hoffman's acts as well, but in another drastic manner.

Plausible? Sound off in the comments. Tks to Jim for the heads up on this. I am a big fan of SAW 4 and think it was a nice refreshing take after SAW 3 which for me was a big dissapointment.
